Retelling Docking Day

"Breakfast!" Aunty Mollie yelled as she pulled the covers off the two brothers. "The van leaves soon so you boys better get up and have breakfast

So the to brothers got up, got changed, ate toast, grabbed there hats and a sack and jumped into the van between their squishy aunty holding the picnic basket.

It was docking day on the farm. So they went every spring. The first lambs were old  enough to get their tails docked.
The two brothers asked "why do you cut off their tails uncle?" It keep them clean and stops fly's
laying eggs.

The adults did the docking one day and the two brothers helped a bit, but most of the time they just rolled down hills, chased the rabbits and made up games that they could think of.

Yesterday, their aunty's baked pie, biscuits, cakes and bread for them to eat after they did their work.

"Rattle bang! "Rattle bang! went the van as they arrived at the far end of the farm.
Then uncle tama parked the van under a big pohutukawa tree near the sea.

The dogs had already begun working. Closer and closer, spilling into the valleys towards us.' The noise got louder and louder. "Baaaa, baaaa!"

A chocolate delivery van stopped above them on the road, and the Driver got out and started to take pictures.
Suddenly there was a big Thub.
It was the delivery van, it fell down the hill. As it was falling the windows broke and all the chocolate fell out.

The two brothers went and helped the delivery man pick up all the chocolate and the adults lift the van.

Thank you said the delivery man and offered them some chocolate, one of the aunty's asked the delivery man if he wanted to stay for a snack and the delivery man said I would be delighted to stay for a snack.

And they all live happily ever after.
