Walking sensible to the hall for immersion assembly, we covered ourselves with our jackets but it still spat rain upon our heads. Wiping our shoes against the carpet, I surprisingly looked to the stage to see what our theme was for this term. It was “Game On” but then shockingly, as I sat down in the second row of seats I see someone riding a bike but it wasn't really moving anyway, only the back wheel was moving. Suddenly Mrs Jacobson rode in on his bike but unfortunately Wyatt was in front of him so Mrs Jacobson couldn't go anyway but once Mrs Jacobson got off his bike he introduced us back to school.

Just then team 1 was getting ready for their performance but first they had a movie to share with us. Their movie was about the Glasgow games. The whole school was learning about the Glasgow games but different subjects. It showed athletes from different countries. It showed the queen talking but it wasn't the real one it was one of the teachers from team 1. After watching the movie they went up on the stage to show us which country they supported.

Next was team 2, team 2 shared a movie also. It was about athletes doing different events like running, boxing, shot put and javelin.

Later that morning team 2 just finished their movie. Then it was time for team 3, team 3’s was about rhythmic gymnastics where they had to dance like ballerinas. The equipment they used were ribbons, hula hoops and bounce balls they even wore tutu’s. As the movie played they danced like beautiful ballerinas. Everybody clapped and cheered as they got off the stage.

Sooner or later Mrs Jacobson welcomed the amazing team 4 to the stage. As everybody clapped and cheered as the wonderful movie from team 4 appeared on the screen. It showed the teacher supporting different teams in the potato event. Miss Ouano was competing from Scotland, Miss Lavakula was competing from India, Miss Garden was competing from, Mrs Somerville was competing from Canada and Mr Goodwin competing from Jamaica.

What they had to do was make potato sculptures, suddenly Mrs Somerville got disqualified from the games, meanwhile the other contestants were making their sculptures when Miss Garden took some of Miss Ouano potato, then Miss garden got disqualified from the games, she had a very sad look on her face but it wasn't over yet there was three more contents left. Once they finished their sculptures they presented it and the winner was Mr Goodwin competing from Jamaica. As everybody clapped and cheered, team 5’s movie appeared on the screen, it show all team 5’s teachers in different countries. Mrs Nua went to Spain, Miss Clark went to New York she met lots of people there like Kim Kardashian, Miss Paget went to Atlanta to see the blue angels, Miss Squires went to Peru, Miss Slade went to Fiji and Miss Tito went to Samoa. Once immersion assembly was finish we went back to class.

My Holiday

My Holiday

On Friday the 18th of July, my two aunt's Shalom and Agape, my sister, Antonia and me, went to the Manukau movies to watch the new Transformers, age of extinction. We got there in my grandfather's car, he didn't come because he doesn't like going movie.

The movie started at 4.20 so we just went around window shopping, window shopping is going looking through shops but not buying anything. My aunt's friend was here, and she had to buy some black earrings to match her black dress so we went to a few shops. Once it was 4.10 we went back to the movies to get our popcorn but we didn't just get popcorn, my sister and I got ice creams each and all of us got a coke.

After we left for cinema 4 but we had to wait because they were still cleaning it so we just took pictures in front of the 3D posters. Once we could go to cinema 4 we saw a little bar if you wanted food for the movie. When we got inside I saw the boy that I knew, he was my sister friend, friend. As I looked for my seat the movie started to begin but it wasn't it was just adds and trailers of other movies. I ate my whole ice cream though all the ads and trailers.

Once the movie started to begin I ate my popcorn one by one so it will last throughout the movie. When it got half way though I just finished my popcorn and my drink but I was still thirsty. Once the movie finished I hoping there would be another one coming. As I walked out with my family I saw another step up poster. I was so shocked, I so wanted to watch that when it comes out.

Future Aspirations

Future Aspirations
P1:
Surprisingly, this morning classes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 went to the street to meet four amazing people Andrew, Jason Sharma, Arizona Leger and Alfred Ferreira, that will inspire us with our future. As we sang, Mimi Mai Ra our school waiata, the four amazing people came in behind us and sat as we finished. Suddenly Mr Jacobson came to the front to talk to us about what inspired him to be a teacher and what happened along the way too.

P2: During that morning I was getting really inspired by all the things they had to say but the most person that inspired me the most was Arizona Leger. Arizona Leger inspired me the most because she was really confident. She shared with us lots of things about her life, and how she became a speaker she also shared with five things about our fingers. First finger was Tihe, do your mihe, that means to do your work. Secondly was Lua, two, a poem by Dr. Seuss, today you are you, that is truer than true, there is no one alive who is you-er than you. Next was Sun, Sun means three in Japanese and Sun is to have fun. Next was four, to bring down the door and to be confident. Last was five, strive to stay alive.

P3: In the end we all had a good time but sadly they had to go. They had places to go and people to see because that's their job so as we sang our song, Mimi Mai Ra, they slowly left the street but first Rocky one of perfect said thank for speeding your time and sharing how you became speakers, teachers, radio reporters and police officers so thank you. After singing our song we left the street and went back to class. Later on that morning my friend Zariah and me saw Arizona again so we went and told her where she got her shoes. As we went back to class with a smile on our face’s we started to giggle and go back to work.
