Swimming lessons

At the swimming pool Miss Gardens maths group waited for the instructor to come. When they came we where excited and hopped into the pool and started to swim two lanes of the pool. Then we came back and waited for Josh our instructor to tell us what to do then he said we had to swim to the end of the pool and come back after our swimming lessons. 

We got changed and lined up and went back to the school but on the way some of the kids from our group picked up rubbish and threw it into the creek and they got in trouble from  Miss Garden. She told us that its bad to throw rubbish in the creek because its already dirty and muddy and the people are trying to clean it so that's why you don't throw rubbish in the creek. After that we went back to school.     

Sketching At Omaru creek

One sunny day Mrs somerville’s reading group went out to sketch Omaru creek. When we got there we sat down and started to sketch. It took a very long time that I was so hot I felt like having a long drink. But after a while we saw some people walking by to take a look at Omaru creek.

Then I went and sat by my friends lizara and Ofa on the kongcrete. Then I saw the other groups come and I started to sketch faster and I made a mistake so I asked for my friends rubber and she said yes then I said thank you and gave it back. 

But as soon as I gave it back we had to go and me, gloria were lost because we couldn’t find Mrs somerville so told Miss Garden and she told me that Mrs Somerville already left through the creek then said come with us because we’re going the same way.

So we went with her and her readying group through the creek all the way to Pt. England school beach and saw the end of Omaru creek and said good bye and went through the reserve all the way back to school and had morning tea.   

 

Waitangi Day

Suddenly I woke up feeling excited because it was a day off school. But then someone came in and it was my mum. She told me and my sisters to hurry up and get ready because we were going somewhere.

After getting changed we had breakfast and put our shoes on and brushed our teeth. Then we sat down and watched a movie and I asked my mum where are we going and she said “The beach” we were all shocked when we heard! so we got some food for lunch and got a blanket to sit on and head off to the beach.



When we got there we set up the stuff and got lunch ready. After lunch we put our swimming togs on and some sun screen then we went for a swim. It was fun in the water but it was cold so I played in the sand. There were lots and lots of people there and the sun was shining so I went in the water again and picked some shells and find lots of beautiful shells.


Then I went  on the rock to look at it. But after a while we went home because it was getting dark and cold. At home I put on my pajamas and went to bed.
