Dan's day age 11 1/2.
Dan had the best night of his life and he could not believe his eyes when Cass talked to him for the first time. Cass told Dan that his band could play at her birthday party next week. Dan wanted to try his gig lesson again and he made sure that his fly wasn't undone. The next morning Mum made breakfast and Dan and family eat and there was no more food left.

Dan's Days Aged 11 ½
On Saturday it took time for Dan to go to sleep at night. He was nervous about his first gig, partly, he was worried his mum, but mainly he was diappoined that mum wasn 't going to be there. His mum had helped him fix his old guitar he found in the rubbish collection. His mum had organised his guitar lessons.
His mum and dad had bought him a electric guitar and amplifier last Christmas. But now she wasn 't able to come to his first gig. He knew she must be feeling pretty rotten. He was determined to make it good for his mum. He didn 't feel like eating. His big sister understood. She returned from her morning job with a bag of fruit and nut energy bars.
